HAGGLING. Really? I can't believe this occurs - and in affluent cities, at that. I know not everyone is working or making the money they were a few years ago. I'm mindful of that. I often have incall specials to try to accomodate everyone's budget. The problem is, there are too many desperate providers who are willing to play Let's Make a Deal, and now even the well-to-do are jumping on the bandwagon. That's not only sad, it's disrespectful and rude.
While I do very much enjoy what I do, it is how I make my living. How would any of you like it if you went into the office one week and on payday your boss said, "You're doing a great job this week but I only want to pay you half of your salary." Wouldn't you be upset and a bit offended? By the same token, would you walk into a gourmet restaurant and offer them a handful of quarters for your favorite dish? And what providers offer hobbyists is so much more personal and (hopefully) more satisfying. What does it say about the hobby that so many are okay with de-valuing a providers worth? If you aren't happy with the level of service you are receiving, please seek to elevate your taste in women. You should always leave an appointment feeling like you're on top of the world. If you can't afford a certain provider's rate, you shouldn't be picking up the phone to call her. Please keep shopping and find someone whose rates are within your budget. Or wait until you have the funds together and then call. Declared rates are NOT a jumping off point for negotiations. To be fair, I also have to mention that the providers who absurdly slash their rates are just as much to blame and are doing their part to condone this behavior and make it seem acceptable. It's not doing the rest of us any favors.
When I started being a provider, I was told that gentlemen preferred to see independents because they would rather that we were able to keep all of our fee instead of sharing it with someone else. These days it seems a certain contingent sees a girl all on her own as an easy mark, with no one to stand up for her and keep them honest. Might I also add, I have a number of gentlemen friends who gladly pay the full hour rate even if they only have time for fifteen minutes. It's a matter of respect and courtesy, not finance. The bottom line is: Please respect your providers and the service we offer to you. (And ladies - please respect yourselves.) I can't speak for all of us, but I know that some us us work hard to take good care of you - not just for what we gain financially. I personally aim to send all of my guests home feeling better than when they came to me. It matters to me. I hope what I've said matters to some of you.
